In Streetlight’s production of this truly indescribable Ben Jonson comedy, vibrant characters explode to life. The Puritanical clash with the promiscuous, singing pickpockets prey on goofy, gullible victims, and gingerbread and hobby horses abound.
Follow the scent of roast pork and the sound of the puppet shows — and along the way find community, solidarity, and maybe even true love.
Streetlight Shakespeare Ensemble presents Ben Jonson’s Bartholomew Fair, directed by McDermott Visiting Artist Raphael Massie, at 7:30 PM on February 16 and 17, and at 7:30 PM on February 23 and 24 at the American Shakespeare Center’s Blackfriars Playhouse.
