MBU Theatre kicks off our 2024-2025 season with Tony Kushner's electric play, Angels in America: Millennium Approaches. Described by Variety as “A victory for theater, for the transforming power of the imagination to turn devastation into beauty,” Kushner’s 1993 Pulitzer Prize winning drama tells the story of a group of New Yorkers grappling with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell, in the shadow of the AIDS epidemic and Reagan-era conservatism. Note: This play includes strong language, frank discussions of sex and sexuality, and content pertaining to homophobia, racism, blood, disease, and death. Performances Thursday, Oct. 31 - Sat. Nov. 2 at 7:00pm, and Sun. Nov. 3 at 2pm.
