DESCRIPTION:The annual Kwanzaa celebration brings the university community 
 together to honor culture\, leadership\, and unity. Centered on student-le
 d performances\, storytelling\, and reflection\, the program highlights th
 e Seven Principles of Kwanzaa and their enduring relevance in shaping our 
 shared future. \n\n \n\nWith the theme "Showtime at the Apollo\," This yea
 r marks a special milestone as MBU celebrates the 30th anniversary of Kwan
 zaa and gathers to recognize the power of tradition\, collective responsib
 ility\, and community connection. Open to all alumni\, students\, faculty/
 staff\, and community members.\n\nRegistration and Seating Info: Special s
 eating will be reserved for parents and alumni who complete registration b
 y April 6. MBU students may not register for Kwanzaa but are welcome to at
 tend.\n\nSEATING: Seating for ceremonial elders will be from 6:30-6:45 p.m
 .\; after 6:45 p.m. reserved seating will be released.ATTIRE: Traditional

 \n\nKwanzaa Afrochic Gala/afterparty will be held at 10:00 PM\n\nFollowing
  Kwanzaa\, join us for the AfroChic Gala This event is a reception with fo
 od\, music\, dancing and socializing. Ticket prices are provided below ALL
  attendees MUST PRE-REGISTER by April 8th\; and there will be no on-site/a

 blic lectures\, performances\, and community experiences hosted by Mary Ba
 ldwin University and designed to engage both the campus and broader Staunt
 on communities. Events are sponsored by one of MBU’s four academic “Ne
 ighborhoods\,” interdisciplinary communities that unite students and fac
 ulty around shared interests in areas like business and technology\, healt
 h and science\, education and society\, and creativity and design. Signatu
