Join Dr. Brenci Patino as she presents her sabbatical research at Fresh Findings: Sabbatical Insights Series. Dr. Branche’s lecture, entitled Re-envisioning Language and Culture at MBU.
During her Spring 2025 sabbatical, Dr. Patiño conducted a comprehensive assessment of the Spanish minor and developed new coursework emphasizing professional language skills.
Join Dr. Patiño as she explores innovative ways to adapt language programs to meet students’ evolving needs and interests. She will spotlight her Medical Spanish course, created in response to the growing demand for healthcare professionals with strong bilingual and multicultural skills. The course emphasizes cultural competency and ethical care — showing how language learning can directly impact patient wellbeing.
We invite you to take part in this enriching program via Zoom — as part of the Alumni Engagement Lifelong Learning Series, an opportunity to continue growing, connecting, and engaging with thought-provoking scholarship. MBU community and members of the public are welcome to join!
