We will display eight panels of the quilt in Deming Fine Arts Center to commemorate the more than 700,000 U.S. lives lost to AIDS.
As part of the quilt's sojourn on our campus, we invite you to join us for a complimentary student-guided tour before each performance of Angels in America. This experience includes a visit to the AIDS Quilt as well as a guided tour of the AIDS Timeline created by the students in THEA375: Theatre/Power/Revolution. This collaborative timeline maps the proliferation of the disease, critical events in queer history, the actions of key real-life figures in the play including Roy Cohn, and the history and context of AIDS activism and protest in America. Each pre-show guided tour is 45 minutes long and concludes with a visit to the AIDS Quilt at its display location in Deming Hall. You may make reservations for a free tour by visiting our digital box office, where performance tickets are also available for purchase. Preshow guided tours are available 10/31, 11/1, and 11/2 at 6pm and 11/3 at 1pm and reservations are strongly encouraged.
